I love this trilogy of movies. Theyre perfect. But why is that woman hobbit mad when the fireworks go off? Lmao, like relax. The song starting from minute 06:00. beautifull. I don"t think we"ll ever see them again, Sam. We may yet, Mr. Frodo. We may yet. Ghimli has amazing aim with that axe.

I previously saw many of Peter Jackson"s movie and I will say that I was extremely apprehensive about him taking on this project. The maker of Dead Alive couldn"t possibly bring this masterpiece to the screen.
I"ll admit I was wrong. Now I could go on for a looong review, but it"s not necessary. There was not a single thing wrong with this movie. Brilliant casting, acting, music. but most of all:
This movie was the most visually dynamic movie I have ever seen. period. Crouching Tiger, The matrix, and all of the Coen brothers movies previously held that title, but Lord of the Rings edged them all. Even if you don"t like the books or even fantasy stories in general, if you like the pure images that movies deliver, see this movie NOW. The incident with the dragon yeah, that little incident when a huge dragon burned down a whole town, then there was a battle with armies of hundreds of thousands of elves, orcs and dwarves, lots of innocent people died. But yeah, that little incident. The battle of the five armies shouldn"t have been so big in the movie. It looked bigger than even the last battle in Return of the King.

Elrond sounds like he is about to drop the most epic D&D session. Peter Jackson had the entire set of the shire made a whole year ahead of shooting just so it could look lived in like it would in real life. Amazing. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. Alright, then, keep your secrets. That line makes so much more sense in this version. I now understand why the dialogue in the theatrical release was so fast. It"s because it was sloppily spliced together. One of the best sections of the film.

There"s always been a Baggins living here, under the hill, in Bag End. And there always will. It"s so sad that this isn"t actually true, since Frodo and Bilbo go with the elves to the west. The opinions of critics often don"t coincide with my views of movies. Yet for once it seems that we are in agreement. Nearly every movie critic worldwide has called the first of the three Lord of the Rings movies amazing (at the very least) and I must agree. I wasn"t sure what to expect but I got more than I could"ve hoped for. I"m going to see it again tonight. It"s one of those movies that just awes you- it brings out all sorts of emotions, from mournful sadness to bemuzed laughter to startled fear. I hear the next two will be even better. That"s somewhat hard to believe, but I never thought that a movie of this kind could be made before now, so I suppose I"d better wait from now on to pass judgement. Go see the Lord of the Rings for yourself. It"s well worth it.

. I"ve seen "The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring" at least 4-5 times a year. But only now have I really started to appreciate it. When watching it in the past it has always been with my parents, and I"ve been fairly young. Bored by the length and lack of action.
However, when I watch it now, I really take it in more. I found myself smiling throughout the whole movie. The soundtrack fits perfectly, the script is perfectly written, and the action scenes really get your blood pumping, you really feel like you"re there with them! Elijah Wood and Ian Mckellen make the movie. Their banter is great, just like Elijah"s and Sean Astin"s. The biggest thing that stood out to me was Sean Bean, his acting is impeccable, and I"m not usually a fan of him. Bean and Mortensen create a chemistry like I"ve never seen.
The lowest point for this film is the length, personally, I don"t mind, the longer the better, but when I asked my 10 year old brother if he liked it, he told me he was in and out, too much story, too little action. I completely disagree. I love films that concentrate more on the story than the killing, but obviously my brother does not. I will admit that I remember thinking the same when I was his age.
Overall, if you"re over 15 and can appreciate a film with great music, great dialogue, and a perfect story accompanied by beautiful acting, this film is for you. If you"re under 15 though, you may be bored by the length and little action. (Don"t get me wrong though, there is enough action to fulfill adrenaline junkies" thirst for blood.

The first one will always be my favorite one, It has a peaceful awesome beginning, and a sense of adventure the other 2 dont have, I still like the 2nd and 3rd one, but fellowship is just a masterpiece of movie making. It"s like in the great stories Mr. Frodo. When I first saw aliens i jumped. This music feels like coming home to old friends. 1x05 swords and magic. The moment Boromir mention Gondor the theme song came on. Just beautiful. Little details that stimulate the subconscious. The MUSIC in the beginning part! The road goes ever on. the strings. and the tin flute! So gorgeous. The extended versions" original music cues are masterful. I just rewatched this scene and cried. Idk what was wrong with me, i guess the sheer happiness of them meeting again overwhelmed me. It"s such a beautiful movie.

I saw the EE version of FOTR on the big screen and it was so much better than the theatrical release. The flow of the film was smoother and the additional scenes would certainly have been helpful to those unfamiliar with the book and a delight to those of us who missed such scenes as the presentation of Galadriel"s gifts to the fellowship. Not to say that the theatrical release wasn"t fantastic; I saw it 30+ times. I am just so glad that PJ and New Line decided to release the EE"s on the big screen to prep us for ROTK. I am looking forward to seeing the EE of TTT next week. I hope at some point PJ and New Line will screen the EE of ROTK after they make their bundle on the theatrical release and DVDs.

Perhaps there are those who would claim that Peter Jackson"s monumental project"s debut is only "ok" and while there opinion is noted, it should be completely disregarded. This amazing "motion picture" I feel this phrase, as opposed to "film" is "t it just feel bigger? requires more than one or two viewings to fully absorb the magnitude of its theatrical merit. One can not even concieve of the huge task Jackson"s took upon himself some 6 years ago, but the end result is well worth conception. While I have read its prequel, The Hobbit, I have not read TLOTR, and so am fully aquainted only with the prior story of Bilbo, not Frodo. Without spoiling the film for any, let me comment that the film contains amazing landscapes, beautiful music, comprehensive plots, mindboggling special effects, and most importantly, impeccable acting. Both McKellan and Wood give INCREDIBLE performances, not to mention Mortenson, who was fantastic as Aragorn. Several seens were beyond breathtaking, and a perfect mix of fast paced action as well as touching moments between characters keeps the audience both entertained and emotionally involved (one scene in particular from Frodo brought tears from to orchestration for composing such soulful melody. After sitting through 2 hrs. and 45 min, I feel the only appropriate response is "wow. Wow. I can foresee some might be disappointed in the lack of resolution in the film. Unlike trilogies before it (Star Wars, Godfather) this film ends with much up in the air, leaving closure-obsessed moviegoers somewhat wanting. This, however, has little to do with the film, but more to do with the novel and the MONUMENTAL task which converting to the screen has been.
Leaving the theatre I was overcome with intense sadness, knowing that I must wait for an entire year to see the next installment. However, The Fellowship of the Ring is fantastic on its own merit, and will be one film I"ll watch repeatedly until the next film is released. 10/10.

Good start for taking the franchise in a new direction. It is about time that WE, The Humans, got something to combat the Predators who have been hunting and Slaughtering us for eons! His voice cracks with desperation as he pleads to be allowed to use the ring. Winter is co- oh wrong franchise. I meant One Ring to rule them all. I give this excellent movie a 10 out of 10. I need to mention something important. Tolkein, who wrote The Lord of the Rings, was also a good calligrapher and talented artist. He rendered many scenes of the Lord of the Rings and of Middle Earth and Marquette University, here in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has purchased many of them and they are on display here in Milwaukee. This is important because Mr. Jackson, the director, and others, made alot of the sets look alot like how Tolkein wanted them to look like and drew them. Examples include Rivendell, Bag"s End (Bilbo"s hobbit-hole mansion in a hill, a glimpse of Minas Tirith (the white city) and Isegard where Saruman stays. This authenticity extends to the characters as played by the actors (you can look them up) including Gandalf the Grey, Frodo, Bilbo, Sam, Pippin, and Merry, Saruman, Sauron, Aragorn, and others. They were very well done likenesses and close to how many pictured them while reading the books. I have read the books several times over the past 15 years, most recently last year, and I can tell you that this movie is an excellent adaptation of the plot and events and details of the movie. It follows it really well and only really cuts out one sequence of events of about three chapters between when the Hobbits cross the small ferry across the Brandywine River and when they arrive in the run down town of Bree. In this missing part of the story (you should read the book as it is a classic and is much more exciting than the movie) they have an adventure in the Old Forest and a plain of mound tombs called the Barrow Downs. This is not a crucial element for a movie but added to the suspense of the quest in the book. Mr. Jackson and the others who made the movie stuck to the book really, really well and you can tell that they had a great love for The Lord of the Rings and tried to do NOTHING which would offend Tolkien. Also, this movie has ground breaking special effects. Battle and fight scenes are wonderful. Tolkien thought the movie could never be made but that was before computer graphic technology. Every creature is based on drawings and descriptions by Tolkien. They really respected his intent alot and he would be very proud of it, I believe. The soundtrack was wonderful and heroic and perfect and I give it a 10 out of 10. The cast was awesome and I give it a 10 out of 10. The effects were awesome and were a 10 out of 10, they fit what you imagine when you are reading the books! The adaptation is a 9.5 out of 10 and the plot, which is all Tolkien, is a 10 out of 10. Please remember that Tolkien reinvented the genre of fantasy writing in the 20th century and millions have read his books. The scenery, it was filmed in New Zealand, was a 10 out of 10. Overall, the movie was a 10 out of 10 from the Shire to Moria to Rivendell to Lothlorien to Gondor and beyond. I just wish they also had the Old Forest and Barrow Downs and Tom Bombadil in there but they probably had to keep the time, it is three hours long, in check. I HOPE those scenes were shot and there is a Director"s cut with them in there on DVD when that comes out some day. Excellent, 10 out of 10 movie.

I think that the fugitive predator wants to make humans an ally, so that they can have an economy. It had me laugh the part where the predator finally used a human weapon rifle shooting people, and you people are right, too much comedy & the actors acted like they didnt take the movie seriously. so it still doesnt beat the 1st 2 predator movies.
